Our team of carpenters finished screwing in all of the plywood to the trusses that support the upper level floor.  In 13 days of working and 182 man hours, they installed about 32,000 screws.  Thank you, guys!

Next steps in construction include bringing the elevator back on line, installing the fire suppression sprinkler system and beginning to frame out the lower level; construction should start on the new entrance in a few weeks.  We're making progress.

Work continues and the renovation is picking up steam!

A group of our guys is assisting our contractor in the evenings and Saturdays in beefing up support under the upper level floor.  They are screwing plywood onto the trusses as part of the process.  It's difficult work, for sure and hard on arms and shoulders, but it will help save time and money.   See photos below.

Also as part of the remediation process, concrete has been poured for foundations for the columns and the columns have been set into place.

We ran into an unexpected problem with the elevator. The pit was flooded, so we had to drain the water and remediate for mold.  There is still work to be done, but it's moving along.

The HOME pledge campaign continues to do well and we are above projections.  Thank you for your diligence and faithfulness in fulfilling your pledges!

Work has started on the lower level, cutting the concrete for plumbing and new support columns.  Steel beams have been ordered to shore up the flooring below the upper level.  Once those beams are in place, work to beef up the wooden trusses will commence.

New support beams have been ordered for the upper level.  These beams will take the roof load once the existing side walls are removed, thus creating a wide open worship center with no obstructing support columns.

Engineering work is underway to create the new  glass entry vestibule on the north side of the building.  Access to the new entrance will be via a new sidewalk that leads to a deck just outside the vestibule.  This will create wide, easy access to the new entrance with an attractive deck.
